Event banner for LEPH 2026, the Eighth International Conference on Law Enforcement and Public Health, held in Leeds, UK, from September 6 to 9.

The conference will be open to law enforcement and public health agencies, national and local governments, relevant research bodies, academic institutes, policy makers as well as the commercial sector and other partner organisations. Bringing these diverse communities and perspectives together, the conference presents an ideal space for sharing and learning about new approaches, instigating and developing real change in practice, based on the best available evidence internationally.

ICT4COP’s Professor Ingrid Nyborg has worked in development research and education for the past 30 years, first in Africa, and then in South Asia. In the course of her work at ICT4COP, Ingrid and the team have developed an extensive network of police experts and civil society organisations working on community policing, which often involves public health issues such as gender-based violence and the social inclusion of vulnerable groups. This makes her an important speaker at this year’s LEPH conference, where her experiences and research will greatly shape the conversations.
