NorDev Conference at NMBU

The 8th joint Nordic Development Research conference (NorDev) was held this year at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) from the 24th to the 26th of September. To support progress towards social, economic, and environmental sustainability as well as equality for all, the conference brought together researchers, scholars, students, policymakers, and civil society actors from the Nordic countries, as well as from cooperating universities and partners in other parts of the world, including the Global South.

The conference, held under the theme “Solidarity, Social Justice and Sustainability,” featured active contributions from our own Center for Community-Based Policing and Post-Conflict Reform (ICT4COP). Several of our partners took part in panel discussions, including Ingrid Nyborg, Gilbert Masengeli, and Douglas Brand, who addressed the theme “Global Order, Security and Crisis – Conflict and Security.”

Their participation showcased ICT4COP’s work on building safer and more inclusive communities, while bringing practical insight to global conversations on security, justice, and sustainability.
